Pokémon TCG: Mega Evolution—Delta Reign launches worldwide on November 6, 2026, bringing Mega Rayquaza ex back to the Pokémon TCG for the first time since XY—Ancient Origins. The expansion also introduces Mega Golurk ex, Mega Malamar ex, Mega Golisopod ex, a new type of Stadium card, and more than 135 cards to collect.

Prerelease events give players their first opportunity to open and play with Delta Reign before its full retail launch. Participating Play! Pokémon stores will use Build & Battle products for these early events.

What Is Pokémon TCG: Delta Reign?

Delta Reign is part of the Pokémon TCG's Mega Evolution Series, with Mega Rayquaza ex taking center stage.

The official set contains more than 135 cards, including:

• 4 Mega Evolution Pokémon ex: Mega Rayquaza ex, Mega Golurk ex, Mega Malamar ex, and Mega Golisopod ex

• 6 Pokémon ex

• More than 20 Trainer cards

• 14 Illustration Rare Pokémon

• 17 Ultra Rare Pokémon and Trainer cards

• 6 Special Illustration Rare Pokémon and Supporter cards

• 3 new Legendary Stadiums, formed from six Stadium cards

That combination should give both players and collectors plenty to hunt for, but Mega Rayquaza ex will undoubtedly be one of the biggest attractions.

Mega Rayquaza ex Returns

Mega Rayquaza has a long history in the Pokémon TCG, and Delta Reign marks its first appearance in the game since the XY—Ancient Origins era.

This time, Mega Rayquaza ex is joined by three other Mega Evolution Pokémon ex: Mega Golurk ex, Mega Malamar ex, and Mega Golisopod ex.

For longtime collectors, the return of Mega Rayquaza alone makes Delta Reign a noteworthy release. For newer players who joined during the current Mega Evolution era, this will be their first chance to experience a new Mega Rayquaza card as part of a current expansion.

New Legendary Stadium Cards

One of Delta Reign's most interesting additions is the introduction of Legendary Stadiums.

Instead of a single card, each Legendary Stadium consists of two Stadium cards designed to be played together. Place both halves next to each other and their artwork connects to create a larger scene.

When a booster pack contains a Legendary Stadium, both halves needed to complete it are included in that pack, so you won't have to independently pull the matching half.

Delta Reign contains six Stadium cards forming three complete Legendary Stadiums.

But the biggest attraction is the promo.

Kyogre Illustration Rare Promo

Delta Reign's Elite Trainer Box features a Kyogre Illustration Rare promo card. The artwork originally appeared as part of Japan's Storm Emeralda set, but the card is being removed from the main English Delta Reign set and offered as the ETB promo instead.

That gives collectors an additional reason to pick up an ETB even if they're primarily interested in completing the set.
